Cool! Now that they've repaved St. Claude, the vehicles move even faster. My heart's in my throat everytime I'm on that street, but it's a closer road for me than Chartres.

Wow. Great news. An actual lane, rather than some 'share the road' signs on a road not really wide enough for 2 lanes and parking. Now if they do EF too, that would really be something.

Of course, we all know that NOLA drivers aren't sure what a lane is. How many cyclists have been killed on St.C alone in the past 10 years? Quite a few.

BTW, what's the deal with them not replacing the broken surface on certain side streets?!?

The St. Claude Bridge along the route will not be striped, Rush said. Instead, bicyclists will share the automobile lanes with cars, Parsons said.

That's so dangerous. You funnel into 9' Huey P-style lanes that funnel again into separate single ones on the bridge. As opposed to the many/crazy/steep/scary steps you are supposed to hike your bike up and down now, which nobody does.
